Victoria - Parksville: Vancouver Island, South to Mid Island

Driving time: approximately 2 1/2 hours plus stops.
This driving tour connects the mid island communities with Victoria and offers a great range of things to see and do. See the giant trees of Goldstream Park and take in the impressive views of the Finlayson Inlet to experience the true essence of Vancouver Island.
Stop in at a First Nations Cultural Centre at Duncan and view the more than 30 murals painted on the buildings of charming Chemainus. Nanaimo the Island's other major ferry hub to the mainland and Vacnouver. Parksville is the junction to either head west to Tofino and the Pacific Ocean or stay on the Island Highway to continue north past Campbell River and Port Hardy.

From the north end of this leg we can continue north for the Parksville to Port Hardy tour or turn west for Tofino. At the southern end of the Island we can join the Victoria City Driving Tour.
