Parksville - Tofino: Pacific Rim National Park

Driving time: approximately 3 1/2 hours plus stops (one way)
Travel from the east coast of Vancouver Island to the wild windswept Pacific coastline of the west. Large Island mountains and huge trees dominate the landscape. After crossing the Island, arrive at the long sandy beaches of the Pacific Coast and signature community of Tofino and the more sleepy Ucluelet. This is Canada's surfing capital - yes really.
Along the way visit the working town of Port Alberni – 2 hours drive from the Pacific Ocean but still directly connected by a pretty inlet.
Since you must drive back from Tofino the same way, GyPSy Guide provides different tour commentary on the return drive.

This is a return trip tour. When you get back to the east coast of Vancouver Island you can go north on the Parksville to Port Hardy tour or south from Parksville to Victoria.
