The lower section of the Okanagan Valley is all about winemaking, fruit orchards and summer fun. The southernmost portion of this drive is deep in Canada’s desert, hot and desolate. But these conditions mixed with modern irrigation create a perfect formula for growing grapes for wine. We will tour between distinctive and interesting towns as we ravel between Kelowna and the USA border.
Warm lakes also make this western Canada’s most popular summer vacation spot for watersports with many warm lakes to choose from. And when we say warm, we mean warm enough to swim in! First Nations opportunities also provide cultural insight around the Osoyoos area.
Follow the special winery tour route to visit outstanding cellars, meet the winemakers and most of all sample some of the delicious wines that are putting the Okanagan on the world stage.
Kelowna is the hub of the Okanagan Valley and offers all of the entertainment and ammenities of a small but vibrant city.

This sector connects with Highway 3 - the Crowsnest Highway from Osoyoos to Hope through Manning Park in the south. The can also join the Okanagan Connector or Kelowna to Sicamous route to the north.
