Lake Louise - Revelstoke: Yoho National Park, BC's Rockies and Purcells

This drive crosses the Continental Divide and passes through 3 National Parks and across 2 major mountain passes. We can divide this drive into 3 areas.
Yoho National Park is connected to Banff National Park and offers awe-inspiring sightseeing. Add Yoho to the time that you plan to spend visiting Lake Louise. Yoho takes about 1/2 a day to see the sights. The main stops are Emerald Lake, Takakkaw Falls and the Spiral Tunnels.
Between the West Gate of Yoho and the Town of Golden, we follow the TransCanada Highway. The Kicking Horse River is our guide through this section. Golden sits in the Rocky Mountain Trench or Columbia Valley and is the division between the Rocky Mountains and the Purcell Mountains.
Between Golden and Revelstoke we drive through 2 more National Parks; Glacier and Mt Revelstoke. Climb to Rogers Pass following section of the rail line that remains an epic struggle between man and nature through steep mountains.
Be ready with your camera as you will be presented with magnificent mountain vistas and great opportunities to observe wildlife. The highest point on the entire TransCanada Highway is at the Kicking Horse Pass, west of Lake Louise.
