Kelowna - Sicamous: The Northern Okanagan

The north end of the Okanagan takes us through the northern portion of the Okanagan wine country. The countryside is filled grasslands and rolling hills backdropped by quite sizeable mountain ranges. The lakes are impressive and many are warm enough to swim in! Cottage industries also prevail with cheesemakers, fruit orchards and other unique offerings along the way. Be sure to stop at a fruitstand for fresh produce grown in the area that bursts with flavor.
Kelowna is British Columbia’s biggest interior city and its city centre should be explored. But only a few minutes drive and you can get back to nature at the impressive Okanagan Mountain Provincial Park. The other major centre on this drive is the smaller city of Vernon.
