Victoria City Tour: British Columbia's Capital and Garden City

Follow GyPSy's self-drive loop tour of British Columbia’s capital and visit Victoria’s historic downtown and waterfront. Victoria is a compact city but bursts with classic architecture and beautiful gardens. Take a quick drive around the city centre to get orientated and then explore some of the attractions on foot. Victoria has the best English style pubs and fish and chips in all of western Canada.

Continue away from the downtown area to follow the gorgeous seaside route as it winds through scenic coves and bays and past amazing houses.  Climb to a superb viewpoint on Mt Douglas or the historic Craigdarroch Castle and then visit the famous Butchart Gardens. Then we will take a drive through the countryside back to the bustling city.

This GyPSy Guide driving tour provides and excellent sample of the best things to do in Victoria and its surroundings. By driving you will see much more than most visitors who never the leave the downtown core.

Arrive or leave Vancouver Island with BC Ferries from the terminal at Swartz Bay, GyPSy Guide will provide the directions.

After the Victoria City Loop driving tour we can begin to drive north on the Island towards Nanaimo and Parksville. From there we can continue to Tofino and the Pacific Rim National Park on the west coast of the Island, or keep going north to Port Hardy. If we leave the Victoria by ferry, we will join the Vancouver City Tour on the mainland.
