The Icefields Parkway is the most beautiful mountain drive in the world. Be sure to drive it with GyPSy Guide. Other most popular tours include Lake Louise and Yoho National Park and sightseeing around the Town of Banff.

The perfect way to try GyPSy Guide is on our FREE TOUR from Calgary to Banff. You can join the tour route from either Calgary Airport or from Downtown Calgary. Or you can even listen to this tour if you are using a bus/shuttle transfer from the airport to Banff.
GyPSy Guide will lead you out of the Airport or Downtown area onto the TransCanada Highway. On the highway we will transition from the flat lands of the prairies to the giant wall of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. The tour is filled with stories from the area and helpful information on how to best spend your valuable time exploring the National Parks.
The drive takes approximately 2 hours and has 65 activation points along the route.
Tour from Banff to magical Lake Louise. You have a choice whether to follow the commentary route along the fast highway to Lake Louise or take the slower Bow Valley Parkway where there is a better chance of seeing wildlife and you can visit Johnston Canyon. At Lake Louise we will tour to the Lake and the famous Chateau Lake Louise and then continue to the stunning Moraine Lake surrounded by 10 mountain peaks.
After visiting the Lake Louise area we will continue on to Yoho National Park which adjoins Banff National Park. The tour will lead you to the 3 best attractions in Yoho; the Spiral Tunnels, Emerald Lake and the thundering Takakkaw Falls, Canada's 2nd highest waterfall. After touring Yoho, enjoy the scenic drive back to Lake Louise and Banff.

The Icefields Parkway has repeatedly been voted "The World's Most Beautiful Mountain Drive." This incredibly scenic drive will no doubt be a highlight of your tour in the Canadian Rockies.
Along this drive we will point out the must-do stops of the drive, as well as places that you may want to explore if you have lots of time. Along this route you will be impressed by the incredible mountains, brightly coloured lakes and glaciers that live the western side of the road. There are many stories about important characters of the Rockies who shaped its past and future. GyPSy Guide will even highlight places where you may have a better chance of seeing wildlife.
Choose the tour that matches the direction you will drive the Icefields Parkway
If you are driving from Lake Louise to Jasper and then back again, there is some repeated information about key attractions along the way that is repeated in both directions. But many of the stories are different so it will feel like a different tour if you buy both directions.
Banff National Park was first conceptualized after the Hot Springs were "discovered" by a pair of railway workers. Since its beginning Banff National Park has become one of the world's most beautiful and iconic protected areas on the planet. Wildlife is often seen in and around the town.
On our drive around Banff you will visit a mixture of scenic locations, historically important locations and many of Banff's most enjoyable attractions. The tour is a loop so you can join it anywhere but we suggest starting the tour by driving towards the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel.
This tour can be enjoyed in about 3 hours, but allow more time if you stop and visit some of the larger attractions. It's a great introduction to the National Park and a must-do for any first time visitor to Banff.
You could easily spend 3 days just exploring the beautiful drives in Jasper National Park, and that is without stopping to do some of the scenic hikes.
Jasper townsite is the hub of Jasper National Park. From that base you will want to explore Maligne Canyon and Maligne Lake, drive above the town to Pyramid Lake and spend a relaxing few hours at the Miette Hot Springs. The wildlife in Jasper National Park is abundant so always keep an eye out for elk, big horn sheep and grizzly bears.
You can drive these routes in one very full day if you make an early start!
